His sector coverage centres on hotels and resorts, mixed-use developments, and development land. His clients included Emaar, Futtaim, SODIC, Talaat Mostafa Group, Economics Research Associates, Cluttons, CB Richard Ellis, among others. He also submitted market reports to the Ministry of Housing in Egypt. He was Regional Director of Coldwell Banker Middle East & Greater Africa.
Sherif led a 15 year career in academia in Scottish, Egyptian and Saudi Arabian Universities. He published and presented papers in Property Management, Estates Gazette, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and European Conferences.
Sherif reviewed articles for the Annals of Tourism Research and Tourism Management Journals. He sat in the Editorial Board of Anatolia: International Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research. He was also a Member of the Research Committee of the Council of Hospitality Management Education, UK, Member of the British Association of Hospitality Accountants, UK, Associate Member of the Urban Land Institute Europe, Member of the International Management Development Association, USA.
Sherif has MSc in Destination Management & Marketing and PhD in the Valuation of Tourism Development Projects.
